Fast Curing Epoxy Putty for Leak Repair Check Seal™ 42

logo-socoCheck Seal™ 42 is a hand-mixable, fast curing epoxy putty that can be ready for use in just one minute. One hour after mixing, the cured Check Seal 42™ can be drilled, sawed, sanded, grinded, tapped, machined or painted. It is delivered in the form of a practical 113 gram tube with a curing agent in the capsule, eliminating drops and runs and requiring no tools. It provides fast repairs to many surfaces including metals, wood, glass, concrete, ceramics and many plastics.

Applications : hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, gasoline, liquors, oils, boiler feed water, alcohols, refrigerants and dilute acids

Temperature range : from -4°C to +148°C
Limitations : don´t use at temperatures exceeding +148°C; Do not use on oxygen services.
Appearance : gray stick with encapsulated catalyst
Injection characteristics : manually applied putty, without injection or pumping
Cure : it can be drilled, sandblasted, painted, etc. after 60 minutes; cures to full strength in 24 hours
Long term changes : long-term exposure to UV light may break down the material
Storage : in a dry place at temperature below +21°C
Shelf life : 2 years
Packing : 17 cm tubes

The sealant is suitable only for industrial use by trained personnel according to the local regulations and employer requirements. Always read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), technical data sheet and warranty conditions before use. For information on the chemicals and conditions regarding health and safety during handling, storage, use and disposal, refer to the relevant SDS supplied with the material, or available upon request.

The application suitability of the material use for a particular chemical composition of the medium is given in the compatibility chart eventually in chemical resistance tables for respective material. Chemical resistance (compatibility chart) tables are available upon request or as online version at our website (tables).

Some chemical additives contained in steam or boiler feed water may prevent curing of the sealant.
