Check Seal™ 55 R is an elastomeric, nitrile rubber type sealant that cures to hard rubber and works great for leak repair of hot condensate or boiler feed water. It can be applied by a high-pressure sealant/lubricator gun.
Applications : fuels, glycols, mild acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, hot oils, kerosene, steam, boiler feed water and liquors

Temperature range : from -6°C to +204°C
Limitations : do not use above +204°C; Do not use on oxygen services.
Appearance : black rubber stick
Injection characteristics : must be injected with a high pressure sealant gun
Cure : cures to hard rubber; makes a hard carbon seal at higher temperatures
Long-term changes : no long-term changes during operation
Storage : in a dry place at temperature below +21°C
Shelf life : 2 years
Packaging : plugs 1.9cm x 7.6cm
The sealant is suitable only for industrial use by trained personnel according to the local regulations and employer requirements. The application suitability of the material use for a particular chemical composition of the medium is given in the compatibility chart eventually in chemical resistance tables for respective material. Some chemical additives contained in steam or boiler feed water may prevent curing of the sealant.
