Check Seal™ 9B and 9F are sealants containing heavy fibers that cure upon the application of heat to form a very hard set solid sealant which blocks leak paths. Check Seal™ 9B is a thermosetting resin reinforced by a fibrous bulk material. Check Seal™ 9F is a thermosetting resin more heavily fibered material for improved sealing traits and higher temperature performance up to +815°C.
Both sealants are used in a variety of industrial applications including sealing small leaks, clamps and sleeves.
Applications : steam, water and a wide variety of chemicals

Temperature range : 9F: from +121°C to +815°C; 9B: from +93°C to +426°C
Limitations : should not be used at temperature over +815°C; Do not use on oxygen services.
Appearance : black fiborous stick
Injection characteristics : flows well at filling pressure of 31 bar; flows well even at minimum filling pressure (dependent upon temperature)
Cure : begins to cure at +93°C; the higher the temperature is, the faster it cures
Long term changes : no long term changes during operation
Storage : in a dry place at temperature below +21°C
Shelf life : 6 months; storage in freezer extends the shelf life
Packing : 3.5cm x 21.6cm J sticks or 1.9cm x 10.1cm plugs
The sealant is suitable only for industrial use by trained personnel according to the local regulations and employer requirements. Some chemical additives contained in steam or boiler feed water may prevent curing of the sealant.
