Check Seal™ 38P Versi-Pak is a pumpable sealant (packing compound) containing TFE-fluorocarbon particles blended into a synthetic binder. It can either be applied by hand or pumped to the required location using a high pressure grease/sealant gun. Versi-Pak is chemically stable and resistant to most chemicals over a wide pH range. It is a highly versatile and durable, self-molding sealant used for stuffing boxes and for all types of valves, valves, pumps and mechanical equipment.
Applications : alkalis, butane, gasoline, hydrofluoric acid, natural gas and propane;
CAUTION: PTFE exposed to temperatures above +260°C generate free fluorine gas

Temperature range : -117°C to +260°C
Limitations : do not use above +260°C as PTFE can generate toxic fluoride compounds; Do not use on oxygen services.

The sealant is suitable only for industrial use by trained personnel according to the local regulations and employer requirements. The application suitability of the material use for a particular chemical composition of the medium is given in the compatibility chart eventually in chemical resistance tables for respective material. Some chemical additives contained in steam or boiler feed water may prevent curing of the sealant.
