PLIDCO® Smith+Clamp (sealing clamp) is used to locate and seal pit-hole leaks in high pressure pipelines mostly at locations with pitting corrosion.
The sealing clamps are designed for operating pressure up to 137 bar (13.7 MPa) in the standard pipe size range from DN40 to DN1200.

PLIDCO® WELD+CAP
If it is necessary to use PLIDCO® Smith+Clamp (sealing clamp) for permanent repair, after sealing the leak the whole area including the sealing cone is covered with a protective PLIDCO® Weld+Cap, which is welded on the pipe without shutdown. There are cut-outs prepared in the cap’s bottom part for safe installation on the clamp’s mounting strips.
PLIDCO® Weld+Cap is available for PLIDCO® Smith+Clamp sizes DN100 (4”) and larger.
