Check Seal™ 4AB is a two-component rubber sealant that cures to relatively hard, but flexible solid. The most common use of Check Seal™ 4AB is for water and steam leak repair up to a temperature +288°C. It can also be used for acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, ammonia and boiler feed water.
Applications : acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, ammonia, water, steam, boiler feed water.
CAUTION : Some of the chemical additives in the steam and bolier water can kill the cure.

Temperature range : from -6°C to +287°C
Limitations : should not be used at temperatures exceeding +288°C; Do not use on oxygen services.
Appearance : blue and beige viscous liquid
Specific gravity : 1,3
Injection characteristics : flows well at filling pressure of 34.5 bar; flows well at even minimum hydraulic pressure (dependent upon temperature)
Cure : curing rate depends on temperature; begins to cure at +18°C
Long term changes : no long term changes during operation
Storage : in a dry place at temperature below +21°C
Shelf life : 2 years
Packing : kits according to volume of A and B components
The sealant is suitable only for industrial use by trained personnel according to the local regulations and employer requirements. Some chemical additives contained in steam or boiler feed water may prevent curing of the sealant.
