Check Seal™ 11 RTV is a single-component silicone sealant that cures to a pliable, low durometer solid. It is mainly used for water and steam-based services. Other uses include sealing and encapsulating heating elements in appliances, aerospace gasketing, industrial ovens, boilers and other bonding/sealing applications where parts are exposed to high temperatures.
Applications : acids, glycols, hydrocarbons, refrigerants, water, steam, boiler feed water and many solvents
CAUTION: Some of the additives in the steam and boiler feed water can kill the cure.

Temperature range : from -6°C to +260°C
Limitations : Don´t use at temperatures exceeding +260°C; Do not use on oxygen services.
Appearance : black silicone in caulking tube
Specific gravity : 1,06
Injection characteristics : it flows well at a filling pressure of 34.5 bar; flows well with minimum hydraulic pressure if injected with high pressure lubricator; may be poured or used with caulking gun
Cure : cures to a soft material with low hardness; it needs moisture to get cured
Long term changes : no long term changes during operation
Storage : in a dry place at temperature below +21°C
Shelf life : 6 months; storage in freezer extends the shelf life
Packing : cartridges; caulking tubes
The sealant is suitable only for industrial use by trained personnel according to the local regulations and employer requirements. Some chemical additives contained in steam or boiler feed water may prevent curing of the sealant.
